'LEMMING' LIST

Two more eyeshadow palattes that caught my attention on my recent visist to sephora were THE PRECIOUS PEARL PALATTE from Stila and ARTIST EYE PALATTE from Smashbox. The main reasons were partly packaging and partly the stunning shades. Its not that i had never heard of these. With tons of beauty blogs on web, it was not difficult to get the reviews and swatches months before these creatures were launched. But then again, its the blogs that start all the 'lemmings'!!!!I did get the chance to look at these lovelies in person, swatch them and yeah give my own opinion.

Firstly the Stila palatte.
Name: Precious pearl palatte.
Packaging: Lovely, sleek packaging.
Pros: Comes with a mirror, easy to travel with. Highly compact
Cons: Has no brush. (brushes come handy some times)
Cost: $40 USD
This set contains:-
1. White Gold (soft creamy white with gold shimmer)
2. Soft Pink (light pink with pink and white shimmer)
3. Mid-tone Pink (neutral warm pink with pink shimmer)
4. Deep Blue (dark blackish navy with blue shimmer)
5. Green (intense mermaid green with blue and green shimmer)
6. Gold (deep gold with yellow and gold shimmer)

Now, the texture and colour payoff. The texture is amazingly soft, just like butter. The colours are pigmented and very wearable. Non of the colours are waste. I am sure the colours will compliment wide range of skin tones. This one is my personal favourite.
The swatches are from Temptalia and i prefer to post 'professional' swatches over my crap ones.
Also, i don't have any friends in MAC/Sephora/Ulta who would appreciate me taking pictures of products or swatches at store. Anywho, i am getting side tracked.
This is a lovely cute palatte to look for and it definately is one on my 'lemming' list..:)

Second one is the Smashbox palatte.

Name: 'MUSE' Artist eye palatte
Packaging: Cute, white with pastel colors on top...aptly named 'artsit'
Pros: Comes with a brush, a mirror.
Cons: Colour selection
Cost: $48 USD

This particular palatte has 10 stunning shades, mostly pastels. The first row of colours are almost lighter version of the colours below. The texture is very soft and the colours are pigmented enough. Now for some one who is all into smokey kinda dark looks, would not find these colours very impressive, but for someone who is getting into makeup and needs a good collection of colours this palatte is a great deal.
I would suggest checking them at your local Sephora/Ulta and judge them in person...:)
