PIGMENT PASSION -- MAC MUSEUM BRONZE

PIGMENT PASSION is a series that will feature MAC Pigments, their texture, the
ways I use them and all the fun stuff. One pigment will be posted every Friday
and I will try to share whatever pigment colors I own.

MAC MUSEUM BRONZE PIGMENT

Museum Bronze is a MAC Pro Pigment. It was released during the 2008 Overrich Collection.
The color is described as Rich Taupe with Gold Pearl and is a Frost Finish. I don't see much of Taupe in it. This looks more like a Golden Bronze color. Its has no reddish undertones like MAC Bronze eyeshadow, but has more golden tone like Woodwinked and more brown like Tempting or Limited Edition Starflash eyeshadow in Go. I should say its a cross between Woodwinked and Mulch/Tempting.

The texture is very soft and smooth. These Overrich pigments are very finely milled and they blend easily, without any fallouts, which is good for pigments and loose shadows. The color was difficult to capture on camera, because it reflected light due to its golden sheen.

Ways I use Museum Bronze Pigment

1. Along with Blonde's Gold Pigment on lid and this on the crease.

2. As a lid color, with matte rich dark brown in crease.

3. As outer lid color continued as crease color and then darkened with chocolate brown and black.

This could be used pretty much anywhere for neutral looks, especially the way one would use a shimmery golden Bronze color. I like the fact that it has no reddish tones, nor the gold part turns green.
This color was also released during the 2009 Pigment Holiday sets. A good color to have, if you are warm toned person and wear lot of neutral eye looks and love anything with Golden Hues.
